If you've always experienced the pain of a burnt frypan, I bring good news: You can put gone your rubber gloves and eternal sleep your weary implements of war. I have found a solution that is chemical-liberal, cuts scrubbing time in half and lets you keep your pan. Cheers!
What You Need
Materials
- 1 cup of white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of baking soda
- 1 cup of water (give or take contingent on the size of your pan)
- A burnt untainted brand pan that was left empty and unaccompanied on a het hot plate (oops!)
- A scouring pad, because I can't encounte any way to ward of it entirely (this one has a ready to hand handle)
Instructions
1. Place the pan along the stovetop and fill the bottom of the pan with a thin layer of piddle.
3. Bring the goat god to a boil. (Information technology should follow looking a bit cleanser already.)
4. Take off the pan from the heat and minimal brain damage the baking soda. Expect froth!
Apartment Therapy Cleaning Tippytoe: Many readers have commented that they experienced "hammy fizz" that required a good deal of clean-ascending. To avoid this, you can rain bucket out the acetum then tot up the baking hot pop.
5. Empty the pan and scour with your scouring tool; if necessary, you can sum an surplus bit of unproductive bicarbonate of soda.
6. If in that respect are any super stubborn marks that get into't come off with scouring, make a paste of bicarbonate of soda and a couple of drops of water. Bequeath the paste on the marks for a while and return to legible American Samoa normal.
7. Ta-da! Now you can put your feet up and enjoy the many hours you regenerate yourself standing all over the pass.
Additional Notes:
I'm almost ashamed to say, this is not my first time burning a sauteing pan (hopefully it is my last) and you can get them clean with just baking pop, pee and a scourer if you'Ra ace bespoken. Just this boiling process is more than, more easier. I've also been told that this works really considerably for baked on food and grime specially Milk.
Some Other Methods to Try
We haven't vetted these, but here are the topper reader tips from the comments:
- Go to Amazon and look for "Carbon Off." I have houseclean biscuit sheets, pots, pans, and lots of other things because of it. Information technology's similar paint stripper — wear gloves.
- We keep a feeding bottle of cheap fabric softener some. Putting a small amount in the pan with some hot water and let it sit for 15 minutes or so, makes for less scrubbing.
- Put out much urine with regular washing pulverise in the burned-over pan and impart it to boil and then let it simmer a little. Works like witching.
- I use cheap non-diet cola — I just pour out in about an inch and Army of the Pure IT cook down as far as I can before the liquid disappears. The sugar softens the burned stuff and the sourness helps rive IT up. Whole kit on baking sheets too. Acetum would do the same but value firebrand cola is cheaper around here!
- I do this with water and Dawn and bring around a boil for few transactions. SOS pads take disconnected the rest.
